Our team is committed to the communities we serve, particularly during the holiday season. Working alongside The Bridge, a non-profit service for the nearly 11,000 less fortunate and homeless individuals and children in Nashville, Churchill sold t-shirts in October to raise financial support and awareness in preparation for Child Hunger Day on Nov. 12. The lender worked with the Volunteer Services Department at the Alvin C. York Veteran’s Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn. to donate shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes and other “wish list” items for the veterans. On Nov. 16, Churchill worked in conjunction with A Soldier’s Child Foundation, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T.A.P.S.) and Army Emergency Relief (A.E.R.) to help 15 local families for the holidays. Employees from the lender’s Brentwood, Tenn. branch divided into multiple teams, each dedicating time and financial support and delivering presents to an assigned family.
Also in November, our team worked with Operation Stand Down Tennessee and its Transitional Housing Project, which assists Veterans in reestablishing a responsible lifestyle after serving in the military. Churchill donated Thanksgiving food items and also donated funds to purchase additional items on the Thanksgiving menu. On Dec. 21, Churchill participated in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which partners with individuals and corporations to provide less fortunate children and seniors with personalized gifts and necessities for the holidays.
“Being active in the community and giving to others is one of our top priorities,” said Mike Hardwick, president, Churchill Mortgage. “The effort is ongoing, but the holiday season is one of the hardest times for many families experiencing hardships. Thankfully, there are several organizations that recognize and support the importance of giving back to those who need it most and we are honored to play a small role in making others’ lives better.”
